Workshop: Exposing International Wrongdoing with Code and Journalism

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

If you ever wondered how can journalists and programmers work together to produce brilliant investigations, this is your workshop. We will use shipping data -- coming sometimes from obscure websites -- to find unknown patterns and interesting stories. You will get your hands dirty by doing a case study from beginning to end and by collaborating with professionals from different backgrounds than yours. Both journalists and coders are welcome. Please, bring your laptop to make the most of the session.

((Logistical note: There will be a 30-minute break to grab lunch. Participants will be allowed to bring the food to the workshop room).
